Our approach

Warm support, shaped by clinical insight.

HelpFound believes support in pregnancy and early parenthood should feel warm and human, not clinical or overwhelming. Nia is the companion at the heart of it, and the way she listens is shaped by clinical psychologist Dr Catherine Corker. She isn't therapy, and she's honest about that.

Our principles

What guides everything we do

Parents first, always

Every decision starts with the parent using HelpFound. Nia is designed to listen without judgement, respond with care, and put your wellbeing above everything else.

Shaped by clinical expertise

The way Nia listens, reflects and knows her limits is shaped by clinical psychologist Dr Catherine Corker. Evidence-based ways of supporting people are built into how she talks, in plain language, never as therapy or a programme.

Empowering, not dependent

We want Nia to help you feel more capable and less alone, never to create reliance. She actively encourages you towards the people and services around you.

Honest about what we are

Nia is an AI companion, not a therapist, doctor or crisis service. We are clear about this because trust matters. When professional support is needed, we encourage it and signpost clearly to accredited services.

Private and secure by design

Your conversations belong to you. We take privacy seriously and build it into everything, not as an afterthought but as a foundation.

There for every parent

Support shouldn't depend on what you can afford or how long you can wait. Nia is here for any parent who needs a calm, thoughtful space to talk.

What Nia is

A companion built to listen

  • A calm, non-judgemental space to talk
  • A companion who remembers what matters to you
  • Someone to help you think things through
  • A signpost to professional support when you need it
  • There whenever you need her, day or night

What Nia is not

Important to understand

  • A therapist or counsellor
  • A medical professional or doctor
  • A crisis or emergency service
  • A diagnostic or screening tool
  • A replacement for professional care

If you are in immediate danger, please call 999. For urgent mental health support contact NHS 111 or Samaritans on 116 123.

How she supports you

Warmth, grounded in clinical insight

Nia isn't a set of therapy techniques. She's a companion whose instincts are shaped by clinical psychologist Dr Catherine Corker, rendered in plain, everyday language. Here is how that tends to show up.

Listening without judgement

She gives you room to say the things that feel hard to say out loud, without ever making you feel judged.

Helping you name it

Sometimes putting a feeling into words makes it less heavy. Nia helps you find those words.

Gentle perspective

When worries start to spiral, she helps you step back and see them a little more clearly.

Normalising the hard parts

So much of early parenthood is harder than anyone admits. Nia reminds you that you're not failing, and you're not alone.

Remembering what matters

She remembers your story, so you never have to start from scratch, and support feels personal over time.

Knowing her limits

Her clinical grounding is what lets her recognise when something is beyond a friendly chat, and point you to real help.

Bridge, not destination

Nia helps you find the right next step.

Our goal is to help you find the right support, whether that's continuing to talk with Nia, exploring self-help resources, or taking the step towards professional care. We actively signpost to NHS perinatal services, BACP and BABCP-registered therapists, and trusted UK charities.
